Walking in and around Dorf Tirol

Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park
In the largest natural park in Alto Adige, the Gruppo di Tessa or Texelgruppe nature park, there is an almost endless selection of walking tours to choose from. For expert walkers, we recommend a hike up to the Sopranes Lakes - ten magical lakes in a wonderful landscape.
Stroll along the irrigation channels
The paths along these channels are mostly flat and made for comfortable strolls. The channels are typical of this region: these canals were dug to bring water from the mountains and from larger rivers to the fields. The paths along them were meant for maintenance. Today, they are popular walking paths, especially for families with children.
Walks on the alms
You can reach the top with the cable car and then take a pleasant and not too steep walk to the rustic alm huts. Enjoy the view, the landscape and the delicious typical food. Tip for families: visit the Taser family alm!
Beloved Mountains
Vigiljoch, Hirzer, Ifinger, Muthspitze, Tschigot, Rötelspitze: climb the most beloved mountains in the area. We will be happy to recommend the best tours.
Themed Trips
There are themed paths on dinosaurs, felt art, the Shieldbearers’ farms, wine, apples, chestnuts and many others with exciting stories to tell. Walking has never been so much fun!
Geocaching
Fun for kids and adults too: Geocaching. Using GPS, you search for treasure. Merano and its surroundings have an especially large number of geocaches.
Climbing
Adrenaline, straight up! Have you ever climbed up a waterfall? It is definitely something special. Besides the waterfall in Partschins, you will find places to climb in te Gruppo di Tessa, the Ötztal Alps, the climbing and the hochseil parks in the area.
